While most eyes may be focused on Tuesday night’s Major League All-Star “main event” at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, the increasingly popular All-Star Sunday will again pack a ton of star power.

With the double-dip of the XM All-Star Futures Game, which will feature 50 of the game’s top up-and-coming prospects, and the Taco Bell All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game, pitting a roster filled with some of the game’s greatest players against one loaded with luminaries from the entertainment world, it will be a day to remember.

A trio of prime-time TV stars will also be making their All-Star debuts in their own hometowns: Jenna Fischer, who plays Pam Beesly on “The Office,” Jon Hamm, who has garnered several award nominations as advertising executive Don Draper on “Mad Men,” and Annie Wersching, who plays FBI agent Renee Walker on “24,” all hail from St. Louis.

Olympic gold-medal-winning gymnast Shawn Johnson, who is also the defending champion of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” will be competing, as will such luminaries as recording stars Ashanti and Ginuwine; “Desperate Housewives” star James Denton; movie star Billy Bob Thornton; Backstreet Boys singer Brian Littrell; Hall of Fame basketball coach and ESPN college basketball analyst Bob Knight; and Andy Richter of NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.” Emceeing the proceedings will be the duo of Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg, the famed “Mike and Mike” duo of ESPN Radio.

The Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game will be broadcast in HD by ESPN immediately following the State Farm Home Run Derby on Monday at approximately 10:30 p.m. ET.

Nelly Dominates All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game

Nelly was the star at the All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball game doing his best Andrew McCutchen impersonation.  The rapper once was once believed to be in line to become a pro ball player with the Pirates or Braves organization.  We can tell.  He ripped a two-run home run to the power alley in right center field, made an excellent sliding catch and even threw ten feet over the catcher.

Nelly was the co-MVP with first baseman Bobby Knight.

Megan Gibson To Participate In All-Star Celebrity Softball Game

Three-time All-American and former Texas A&M softball player Megan Gibson will play in the 2009 Taco Bell All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game on Sunday, July 12. The game will air on ESPN360 at 4:30 p.m. Sunday and on ESPN and ESPNHD on Monday, July 13 at 9 p.m.

Gibson and three other current National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) players will compete in the celebrity game alongside baseball legends and celebrities from the worlds of music and Hollywood. It is held at the home of the St. Louis Cardinals in Busch Stadium and is part of the festivities and games that surround Major League Baseball’s (MLB) annual All-Star Game.

Gibson will also be in St. Louis to host clinics, meet fans and sign autographs at the MLB All-Star FanFest, which is a baseball theme park and the largest baseball fan event in the world.

Adam Rodriguez in Celebrity Softball Game

During the break from filming CSI: Miami, the stars of the show have time to do some more fun things. For example, a few days ago, Adam Rodriguez, who plays Eric Delko on the show took part in a celebrity softball game.
