Marvell Scott,  a former Channel 7 sports anchor, was arrested this morning for allegedly raping a 14-year-old prostitute in his midtown apartment two years ago.

Scott faces charges of rape, patronizing a hooker, and child endangerment.

Earlier today in Manhattan Supreme Court the attorney for Dr. Marvell Scott said his client is being “shake down…by a pimp and two prostitutes,” and there was no sexual intercourse between the sportscaster and two teenage girls.

WCBS reporter Lou Young tweeted about an hour ago: “Marvel Scott admits inviting 3 troubled runaways to his Midtown apt in June 2008. Gave DNA sample 1 year ago.”

Assistant District Attorney Lisa Friel said Scott had sex with the 14-year-old girl twice and each time she begged him to stop.

After the assault the teenager called her mother who called the police.

Scott, 36, resigned from WABC after the incident to focus on “other things.”
