It was Avril Lavigne and Katie Perry’s turn to lend their opinions from the judge’s table. And for Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi, L.A. has some high expectations.

Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne know exactly what it’s like to have a musical dream. Both were once teenage girls who had to scrape and paw their way to pop stardom, which is why the youngest “American Idol” guest judges to date were perfect for the Los Angeles round of auditions.

Avril Ramona Lavigne is a Canadian singer-songwriter, fashion designer, and actress.Meanwhile,Katy Perry is an American singer-songwriter and musician.

And,of course every judges having a higher expectations in LA.”You know, I think, you can make a real case for having higher expectations in L.A.,” said DioGuardi. “A lot of people come here to pursue music, whether it’s singing, or on the acting front with singing, so I think that there’s people in this town that really want it.”

In the end, 22 others from Los Angeles made it through to the Hollywood round. Wednesday night’s show will head to Dallas with guest panelists Joe Jonas and Neil Patrick Harris.
