Emma Watson aka Hermione Granger has promised “fireworks” for her long-awaited kiss with co-star Rupert Grint aka Ron Weasley.

It was a first for Ron and Hermione, a kissing scene that was hyped and built-up as their relationship grew and developed from kids playing together (and constantly fighting) to young adults growing closer to each other and still constantly bickering.

Ron and Hermione talked about their kissing scene in past interviews for the promotions of the movie. This was what Hermione (Emma Watson) had to say about it: “There has been such a build-up and interest in this hyped kiss that it has to be the best on-screen kiss ever, so I’m determined to make it memorable! There’ll be fireworks, music, everything!”

Rupert Grin who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter series had this to say:

“We were dreading it to be honest, because we’ve grown up together and it just seemed wrong really. We’ve known each other for 10 years so it was a bit like kissing my sister. We were determined to get it right the first time, but our first try was a disaster because we both felt so self-conscious and we couldn’t stop laughing. It was fine. We just really believed we were Ron and Hermione and not Rupert and Emma and it was OK. It was only a few takes, so it didn’t last long.”

This is a really memorable, fun and exciting moment around the Harry Potter community.
